If so, then it is not an issue. There is a setting within the computer's setup (you get to by pressing F2 while the word DELL is still on the start up screen) that turns on and off that message. It is possible that the message was turned off, and somehow got turned on. While the E1705 prefers a 90 watt charger, it will work on a 60 watt (the sandard for Inspirons).
